JOSEPH MONTZ, CPA

President and Founder

Joseph Montz graduated from Louisiana State University in 1982 with a BS in Accounting. After graduation he worked for The Office of Legislative Auditors in Baton Rouge, LA. Joe began his financial planning career in 1987 as a fee-based planner with CIGNA Financial Services. In 1994 he opened Louisiana Medical Associates and began working exclusively with physicians. As he expanded his business to a national level, his current company, Physicians Resource Group, was formed.

Joe, a Certified Public Accountant, is a member of the Louisiana Society of Certified Public Accountants and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. He is the former chairperson of the Estate & Financial Planning Committee for the Louisiana Society of CPA’s and has been a guest speaker at hundreds of educational conferences for physicians. He is also a registered Investment Adviser Representative, completing the qualifying Series 63 (Uniform Securities Agent State Law) and Series 66 (Uniform Combined State Law) exams, and holds independent Life, Disability and Variable Life and Annuities insurance licenses.
